The influence of the international terrorism on the international relations is essential. The terror as a way of achievement of political goals by violent means exists from the moment of origin of human civilization, but it became dangerous right now, when the humanity was included into a phase of the highest development of an industrial society, and some nations are considered postindustrial and informational economics.
In the first chapter of the research is carried out the theoretic-methodological analysis of the phenomenon of international terrorism, coming to conclusion that there are versatile criteria of classification, different concepts and different approaches, which complicates perception of this phenomenon, considering complexity and diversity of the last. However, the general scientific approaches which could be used for revealing all reasons and the factors generating the international terrorism and as consequence, for more effective fight against it are not developed yet as a whole.
In the second chapter, the international terrorism is researched in historical framework, relating to some events which have affected development of this phenomenon. The terrorism is considered as a way of achievement of political ends, using media that seriously affects the state politics.
The third chapter defines the interaction of the Western and Islamic worlds in geopolitical context, explaining the interpretation of geopolitics of Islamic world and the mission of the international campaign against terrorism, where the role of each state which aspires to peacekeeping and stability on the world is essential. A special attention is given to the Republic of Moldova as member state to the international campaign against terrorism and policy promoted to prevention and punishment the international terrorism.
