The present research is dedicated to the analysis of the very actual but still less searched problem of peculiarities of assertion and negation formation at children of infancy period (1-3 years old).
The author has analyzed different approaches, among which are the behaviorist, Freud, Piaget and Bruner’s approaches as well as new systemic conception in interpretation of the issues of assertion and negation. The last provides physiological definition of assertion and negation as mental operations, which makes the unique, multilevel, hierarchic and multifunctional system, which corresponds to the basic goal of human being activities in concrete situations.
For the first time the author has made an attempt not only to verify the existing level of development in mentioned issues of assertion and negation, but also the formation of these mental operations at children of infant period (1-3 years old) by defining the zone of “nearest development”, also were established the basic conditions of their development, the basic psychological mechanism of their functioning.
The value of research is considered fist of all in the fact that in the frame of the present research were obtained experimental data of important statistical significance as well as was elaborated a valid and trustworthy methods which can be effectively used both in further theoretical activities and practice and secondly were developed the cycle of lessons, with the scope of formation and development of assertion and negation as mental activity of children of infant period. These lessons can be successfully used for mental development of children of that age.
