Present thesis is dedicated to one of the most important problems of modern pedagogy and management theory – the problem of strategic management.
This scientific study presents the theoretical basis of the strategic management at the school level: the development history of strategic management, it’s place in the structure of the educational management, the conceptual understanding, the methodological approach “at the level of system, process and situation”, the aim of innovation in the structure of the strategic management.
The investigation of school manager’s experiences in the field of strategic management will offer the possibility of structuring and classification them on different levels, and also will allow to understand the level of their competence implication and possession in the strategic management.
The present thesis elaborates and argues the strategic management model of school, which includes: objectives, principles, etc., functions, and also conditions of the elaboration, of school development programs. The model of school management presented in the thesis is approved on a theoretical and experimental level.
The made conclusions confirm the proposed hypothesis and the results will functionally improve the development of the theoretical and practical of the school management experiences.
