Summary

The work presents a synthesis of the results of investigation of Cr(III) coordinative compounds influence on morpho-biochemical particularities of cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis CNM-CB-02 in viewpoint of possibility of oriented increasing of productivity, chromium and bioactive principles content in biomass and obtaining of products with antidiabetic effects.

Two new procedures for biomass obtaining at cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis CNM-CB-02 cultivation in presence of some Cr(III) coordinative compounds have been elaborated with application of mathematic methods of experiments planing. These mediums assure the growing of productivity (1,22-1,33) and chromium content in biomass (14,26-22,71) in comparison with the medium of reference.

The possibility of Cr(III) coordinative compounds utilisation as the regulators of biosynthetic activity and the limits of concentrations which didn’t affect the morpho-genetic characteristics of cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis CNM-CB-02 have been demonstrated in the results of investigations. The chromium distribution in diverse component fractions from spirulina biomass has been determined and it inclusion in micro- and macromolecular compounds of organic nature, such as free amino acids, peptides, proteins and glucides has been demonstrated. The maximal content of chromium from spirulina biomass, cultivated in presence of some Cr(III) coordinative compounds, was distributed in the fraction of glutelins and globulins. The modifications in the amino acids composition and proteic spectrum, inducted by the Cr(III) coordinative compounds with the maximal effect on chromium accumulation in biomass, have been evaluated.

Application of Cr(III) coordinative compounds with nitrilotriacetic acid as a ligand has conducted to elaboration of technologiсal schemes of valorification of biosynthetic potential of cyanobacteria Spirulina platensis CNM-CB-02 and obtaining of bioaditiv „SpiruCrom”and bioactive preparation „BioRCr”. The obtained chromo-component products can bee recommended for insulin activity increasing in the cases of diabetes mellitus.

The results of investigations demonstrat the opportunity of application of some Cr(III) coordinative compounds for obtaining chromium rich biomass without an impact on ADN structure and spirulina morphology.
