Project Mission

Manpower training in the Republic of Moldova is accomplished in universities and research institutions in the framework of unique state system with specified requirements of legislation and normative acts of Parliament, Government, Ministries, Academy of Sciences and National Council of Accreditation and Attestation. Therefore the information appears dispersed in different sources, with subsequent changes and more precise definitions, which are not always accessible for researchers. One of the first purposes when developing the site was the concentration and permanent actualization of this information.

Because the process of post university studies is dispersed in different institutions, there appeared the necessity to unify the procedures and to standardize requirements at each stage of education – beginning from the admission at post-graduate study and finishing to theses defense and conferring the respective degrees.

The third consideration was the desire to promote the recent results obtained by researchers of Moldova, the IT way being one of the most efficient means of dissemination. The statistics accumulated by authors of the site during first years of its functioning permits to make the conclusion that the theses’s full-text versions are one of the most accessed by site visitors from Moldova and other countries as well.

The purpose of this website is to promote scientific results obtained in Republic of Moldova by publishing online all PhD theses in PDF format elaborated and defended in the Republic of Moldova.
