The problem tackled in the research project refers to the analysis of the actual trends in the Globalization and Regionalization processes, as well as the effects it has on the development of the external commerce of Moldova.
The authenticity of the subject emerges from the necessity of the many countries, including the Republic of Moldova, to establish its interrelations and interdependencies within the realistic and inevitable tendencies of the World Economy, in light of the studies regarding their evolution at the national, regional and global levels.
A special consideration is placed on the assessment of the influences of the regionalization process on the development of the exterior commerce of the Republic of Moldova, taking into account the formation of the regional groups. In this framework, are being examined the bilateral and multilateral relations within the regional subsystems.
In the paper are analyzed such issues as: the existence of the legislative, economic commercial, institutional systems for the encouragement of the national external commerce, and are being proposed modifications aimed at achieving the European and world standards.
The obtained results may be applied at the design of the strategy regarding the development of the external commerce of the Republic of Moldova, at the establishment of the key export sectors and markets, to the elaboration of the policies targeted at drawing the foreign investments, which is a solid factor in the improvement of the international activities of the country.
Within the thesis are brought numerous arguments supporting the need for the Republic of Moldova to participate in the process of regionalization and integration in the European system, while attaining the highest quality for the local products, the diversification of the competitive products on the international markets, and the penetration on the new consumer markets
