Summary

The investigation had as aim to reflect through the ideographic sources the model of the tsarist administrative system for Basarabia at the beginning of the XIXth century and the impact of foreign on Basarabia autonomy, in correlation with the new theoretic-methodological landings. It had been emphasized the contradictory historiography positions on the autonomy specifics and necessity for a national periphery of the Russian-Basarabia Empire at the beginning of the XIX th century. As a result in had been reached the following conclusions: The limited autonomy of Basarabia from 1812-1828 is a new phenomenon in the practice of administrative federalization approved in Basarabia at that time, had denoted the incapacity of absolutist central power from Russia to direct efficiently the peripheral territories with privileged status of auto-government. This fact this confirmed by the majority of new historical sources.

The analysis of these one, together with a review of these by the indicated epoch as an important factor in the failure of autonomy functioning of the region consisted in the contradiction between imperial interests connected with the state reorganization of the annexed province, o none hand and on the other, the interests of local elite which plead for the maintenance of particularities and power in the Basarabia region.

The analysis of the contemporary sources on the provincial auto-administration status of Basarabia under the tsarist domination from 1812-1828 emphasize an experienced model with negative effects for the both implied parts, but, especially, for Basarabia. The effects of this tsarist reformation practice in this aria had conditioned the changes during the time at national and local level, marking the negative process of national identification of Republic of Moldova population.

The obtained results denote the necessity to submit studied events to historiography revision, with the aim of revision of the process sense and of the phenomena within the history of Basarabia from the XIXth century.
