Summary

The aim of the work was to reveal diversity, structure and functional status of the ichtyophauna in Byc river and improvment ways elaboration of its ecological state. Objectives: identification and pointing out multiannual successions of the diversity and quantitive parameters of the ichtyofauna of the Byc river; distinguishing multiannual successions of the diversity and quantitive parameters of Byc ichtyocenosis; comparative researching of diversity index in other small rivers from Moldova; pointing out fish communities as indicator of Byc river ecosystem state; Practice recommendation making for improvement of Byc river ecological state.

Methodology of scientific research. Species identification was carried out with help of research papers by: Bănărescu P. (1964); Берг Л. (1948-1949); Никольский Г. (1974, 1980); Попа Л. (1976); Oţel V. (2007); Dediu I. (2007); Umnov А. (1976); Şibaev С. (2007); Năvodaru I. ş.a. (2008).

Scientific innovation. For the first time there has been evaluated the multiannual successions of Byc river ichtyofauna, it was revealed specifical make-up, quantity ecological indexes, it was revealed structure dynamic of ichtyocenosis according to pollution level in different sectors of Byc river, it was pointed out comparative aspect of ichtyofauna diversity in other rivers from Moldova (Raut r., Cubolta r., Copaceanca r., Ciuluc r.). it was confirmed the utility of fish communities as index of aquatic ecosystem state. Has been obtained new information about structural and functional transformation of fish communities habitating in Byc and Raut rivers (sex ration, age structure, growth rate).

The theoretical significance and practical importance. The results obtained in thesis complement knowledge regarding ichthyofauna of the Byc river. Results regarding diversity, structure and functional status of the ichthyocoenosis have served as base for elaboration and implementation of recommendation for improvment ways of ecological state. The obtained results are implemented in elaborating of practical recommendations for improvment of ecological state in Chisinau sector presented to the Ecologycal Inspection from Anenii Noi in period 02.03.09 – 10.07.09.
