The thesis consists of introduction, four chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 225 titles, 31 annexes, 170 pages, including 44 charts, 30 tables and 22 formulas.
The results are published in 20 scientific works, including a monograph (co-author).
Domain of study: finance, money and credit, international financial relations.
Objectives of thesis: determination and evaluation of financial effects of foreign labor migration on national economies and making recommendations on streamlining the management policies of foreign labor migration from the Republic of Moldova.
Scientifical novation and originality of the results consists of: development of the concepts and the evaluation methodology for migration climate; identification of economic effects of international migration phenomenon at micro, meso and macro economic level in countries of origin and destination countries of migrants, elaboration the concepts of financial effect, specification of financial effects and remittances functions; developing and testing a set of indicators for the analysis of remittance flows; identification of correlations between remittances and macroeconomic indicators in the Republic of Moldova; elaboration of a model for measuring the impact of remittances on the exchange rate of MDL assessment; development of the model for determining the net result of external economic migration from various macroeconomic outlook by applying cost-benefit analysis, estimated net income of labor migration in the Republic of Moldova.
Theoretical significance consists of proposed concepts, new developed methodologies, realized findings, which will serve to support further scientific research. However, the sentence may be proposed as reference work in the teaching of economic higher education institutions.
Applicative value of the thesis can be found in: development of theoretical and methodological approaches for analysis and assessment of causes and effects of labor migration, and through operationalization of indicators for remittances analysis, research brings to life a rich tool in quantifying analysis, perception and decision to reach all those interested in knowledge and managing international economic migration external process.
Implementation of scientifical results: Some recommendations developed in thesis were accepted to be used in the activity of The Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Moldova.
