Summary

Structure of the thesis:introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography–231 of sources, 9 annexes. 153 pages – basic text. Results of research are published in 12 scientific papers, 5,0 conventional author units.

The area of research of thesis: scientific theoretical and practical research of editorial policies of public broadcasting institutions, the ways of improving public television activities, developing of editorial policies under the rigors of the public broadcasting institution.

Purpose and objectives of the paper: conceptualization of editorial policy, emphasizing the editorial principles and values, as well as rules of programming of television broadcast, analysis of editorial policies evolution promoted by the National Television (state institution - public institution) and proposing of a new model of editorial policies for Moldova 1 Public Television.

Scientific research methodology. This paper made a comprehensive methodological interdisciplinary approach of analytical, theoretical and practical study of editorial policies of public broadcasting institution. In research various scientific methods were used such as historical, systemic, analytical, comparative and sociological ones. It was also used analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, as well as content analysis of television programs.

Novelty and scientific originality: conceptualization of editorial policies of the public broadcasting institution and highlighting their features, studying the evolution of editorial policies of National Television promoted during its 50 years activity, developing new editorial policies’ model for public broadcasting institution (especially for Public Television Moldova 1).

Theoretical significance and applied value of the work. Theoretical importance of research lies in providing an integrating vision on all aspects of public broadcasting institution editorial policies development and promotion. For the first time in an editorial policy research paper are reflected more aspects of the conceptualization of editorial policies, the typology of media institutions and their specific editorial policies. There are emphasized peculiarities of editorial policies of public institutions and other aspects. Practical and applied value is given to the work by solutions and concrete proposals, made to adjustment new editorial policy of TV Moldova1 to the rigors of a modern public broadcasting institution. The thesis represents is a monographic source for researchers in electronic mass media, occupied by topics related to editorial policies of the public broadcasting institution.

Scientific results of the paper were presented at scientific conferences at USM, ULIM, AMTAMP and proposed for implementation and management of Teleradio - Moldova Company and Chisinau DTV television station, have been applied in the author's scientific and teaching work as a superior lecturer of Journalism Department of State University of Moldova.
