Summary

BOGDEA Larisa „Biological and ecological peculiarities of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus (Sylviidae) in natural and anthropized ecosystems”, Chişinău, 2011 The materials of the thesis are presented on 122 pages of based text, 10 annexes, 19 tables, 34 figures. The thesis includes: annotation in Romanian, English and Russian, introduction, four chapters, general conclusions, practical recommendations, list of bibliography with 210 sources. 16 scientific papers were published on thesis topic. Key words: Sylviidae, Sylvia, Phylloscopus, adaptation strategies, density, distribution, behaviour, laying, postembryonic development. Field of study: 03.00.08 – Zoology Aim of the study: revealing of biological, ecological and behavioural peculiarities of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus in natural and anthropized ecosystems from the territory of the Republic of Moldova. To fulfill this aim the following objectives were outlined: · identification of species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus in natural and anthropized ecosystems; · identification of breeding habitats of species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus on the territory of Moldova; · revealing of biological and ecological peculiarities of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus in reproductive period; · emphasizing of behavioural adaptation strategies in species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus in reproductive period; · study of distribution and density of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus depending on habitat type; · Establishing of improvement measures of ecological conditions of recreational and urban ecosystems in order to increase the nestling capacity of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus. Methodology of scientific research is constituted by the conceptions exposed in works accomplished by Ganea I. (1976), Volceanetskii A. (1954), Bibby C., Jones M., (1998), Pesenko I. (1982), Gomoiu M-T., (2001), Malcevskii A. (1959), Poznain L. (1979). Scientific novelty and originality: For the first time waste studies were performed in various biotopes from the territory of the republic, which have completed with: - revealing of biological and ecological peculiarities of the species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus; - establishing of behavioural adaptation strategies in species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus in reproductive period on republic territory; - peculiarities of postembryonic development of nestling of studied species correlated with open and semi-closed type of breeding; - emphasizing of ecological plasticity in species from genera Sylvia and Phylloscopus. Theoretical significance and applied value of the work: The main results of the thesis are component part of the fundamental and applied scientific research theme of Laboratory of Ornithology of Institute of Zoology of A.S.M. Accomplished studies correspond to main scientific directions and researches, to national and international programs and strategies concerning biodiversity protection and conservation. The results of investigations, in applied aspect, will serve at recommendation elaboration regarding planting of forest shelter belts, parks, by planting tree and brush species that allow to enhance the environmental capacity of various ecosystems, which will help to maintain the ecological balance and improving recreational and natural biotopes. Implementation of scientific results: The obtained results are implemented in the didactic process at the State University of Moldova, State University from Tiraspol, Faculty of Biology. Practical recommendations elaborated on the basis of scientific results are applied within the implementation by „Moldsilva” Agensy.
