Summary

At the moment, according to the market economy criteria, free economic zones (FEZ) are some territorial-economical structures which possess an enormous business potential, that assure the rise of development level of the regions where are they created, the rise of employment and incomes of the population, the solutions of the major economic and social problems. The purpose of investigations is to estimate the impact of FEZ on the process of integration of national economies in the system of international economic relations. In order to achieve the stated objective investigations were aimed at: analyze the forms and types of FEZ; demonstrate the direct relation between the process of economic integration and creation of FEZ and the necessity to include them as the first stage in this process; estimate the impact of FEZ on the development of national economies; identifying the directions of development of FEZ in the Republic of Moldova; elaborate a concept-strategy in order to improve the activity of FEZ in the Republic of Moldova. The purpose and objectives of the thesis determined its logical structure, including introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 126 units, 11 annexes, 8 figures, and 5 tables.

The scientific novelty of the paper relys on the following moments: to elaborate one variant of classification of the types of FEZ; elaboration of one evolutiv-structural model of FEZ; to propose a legislative project concerning FEZ; identifying the reference points in order to elaborate the concept-strategy concerning FEZ, in accpordance with the conditions of the Republic of Moldova; determination of direct relation between the process of economic integration anf FEZ.

The theoretical and practical value of the thesis is focused on the analysis of current trends of the relation between the integration process and FEZ, also on the specific of the creation and activity of FEZ in the world and in the Republic of Moldova according to their aspects, containt, derulation, specifical features, demonstrate the possibility to shape the process of diffusion and efficiency of FEZ, using the modern methods of research. Concrete proposals have been listed to improve the efficiency of the FEZ from the Republic of Moldova.
