Key words: prolonged pregnancy, cervix maturation, nitric oxide, prostaglandin, progesterone, estradiol, oxitocin. Domain of study: obstetrics and gynecology. Purpose of study: to receive an efficient cervix maturation in pregnant women with prolonged pregnancy by administration of nitroglycerine as a donor of NO and to create conditions for labor. Research objectives: to assess the peculiarities of development of prolonged pregnancies and deliveries; to determine the risk factors of these pregnancies as well as to study peculiarities of cervix maturation; to appreciate the role of nitric oxide in this process correlated with PG E2, progesterone, estradiol and oxytocin. Methodology of scientific research: it is a clinical and analytical study. The examined lot comprised comparable groups, and constituted a simple blind study. Scientific novelty and originality: The study allowed for the first time in Moldova to demonstrate the role of NO in ripening the cervix. The problem solved in scientific thesis has allowed solving maturation prolonged cervix in prolonged pregnancy. The study results confirmed that the task is currently prolongation the deficient NO cervix, which is cupped by the administration of nitroglycerine. Theoretical significance of the research: This reserch, due to the obtained results, highlights the dates that show the actuality of prolonged pregnancy, as well it convinces us that each new effective and practical method of cervix maturation, that has a theoretical substrate should be implemented. Applicative value of the research: the algorithm of cervix maturation was developed by administration of nitroglycerine as a donor of NO to obtain favorable conditions of labor initiation in women with prolonged pregnancy in order to reduce perinatal morbidty and mortality, and to reduce the rate of Caesarian sections. Implementation of scientific results: the results of research have been implemented in the therapy process of IMSP SCM nr.1 and IMSP MM nr.2.
