Summary

Structure of the thesis: introduction, four chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography comprising 255 titles and 250 essential text pages. The obtained results were published in 44 research works.

Domain of research: theory of international relations.

Purpose and objectives of the work: the intended purpose of the work is to investigate the complex processes of formation of new world model order and new structure of international system after the end of cold war, the researches being carried out both at the level of structure and at the level of actors. The researches are based on the analysis of geostrategical reorientations which have ultimately contributed to the alteration of the structure and role of great actors at both global and regional level. The immediate development of the categorical-ideational framework is carried out in the thesis, the theoretico-methodological reference points of investigations being the direct object of scientific study.

Scientific novelty and originality: The innovative character of the obtained results consists in elaboration of fundamentally definitions of synthesis of such concepts as “International Relations”, “world order” and “world politics” which in applied aspect contribute to resolve a problem of great importance: to define the type of international system structure after the end of cold war both at the level of structure and at the level of actors with the multidimensional and complex relationships they carry out horizontally and vertically.

The fundamentally new results of research have contributed to create in the Republic of Moldova a new scientific direction in domain of international relations researches and namely formation of international relations after the end of cold war, having as support the analysis of institutions and processes, structure and context which all together have determined both the remodeling of world order configuration and the alteration of international system structure.

Theoretical significance: elaboration and presentation of complex well-founded theoreticomethodological framework which is interdisciplinary in methodological aspect and multidisciplinary in analytico-epistemological aspect of scientific exploration of international relations examined from scientifically-disciplinary point of view and as actions of actors in all their diversity. The elaborated conceptual framework reflects more adequately new requirements of a science and global realities of post - cold war period. The definitions of such concepts as “International Relations”, “world order” and “world politics” are proposed and the operational nature of the category “center of power” is argued to define the type of structure of the international system after the end of cold war.

Practical value of the work: the national interest of the Republic of Moldova is defined and must be totally realizated, the concept of “cooperative security” can be applied as a support to find solution to the conflict in the east regions of the Republic of Moldova, the context in which the opportunity to modify the format of negotiations in a heptagon is possible. Some types of costs that must be assumed and some benefits that will result from the realization of European integration processes by the Republic of Moldova are researched prospective.

Implementation of scientific results: this thesis was elaborated at the Political Sciences Department of the Institute of European Integration and Political Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova was examined and supported at the general meeting of the Political Sciences and European Studies departments of the Institute and at the scientific seminar meetings in the field at both the State University of Moldova and the Institute of European Integration and Political Sciences of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova. Researches were published in 44 scientific works including three monographs; they were presented, discussed and approved at over than 30 national and international scientific forums. The obtained results can be used by the state bodies responsible for finding solutions to the conflict in the east regions of the Republic of Moldova and for achieving European integration of the Republic of Moldova.
