The work represents the study of the peripheral neurovascular impairments in the vertebro-paravertebral region both in healthy individuals and in patients with degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine. The diagnostic possibilities of infra-red thermography and aerocryotherapy efficacy as part of a complex treatment and a preventive measure in case of recurrent degenerative disorders of the lumbar spine have been determined.
For that purpose in view we made use of clinical, clinico-physiological, instrumental methods of investigation (infra-red thermography evoked cutaneous vegetative potentials, rhythmocardiography, radiography), as well as statistical methods.
It has been established that the thermographic values for the lower limbs and the vertebro-paravertebral region help distingwish the different pathogenetic variants of affection in the disco-vertebral segments, the level of the discoradicular conflict and the specific features of hernia extrusion location in patients with degenerative lesion of the lumbar spine. On the basis of the manifestations particularities of the vasomotor activity in the vertebroparavertebral region cutaneous-vertebro-visceral reflexogenic zones (cardiorespiratory, hepatobiliary, pancreatogastric, renal, enterocolic, vesicogenital) have been revealed; and this fact contributed to the accuracy of the differential diagnosis, complex treatment and prevention of the impairment exacerbation. The complex role of the peripheral neurovascular disturbances in the integrity of the physiological and pathological processes in patients with degenerative disorders of the lumbar spine has been shown. It has been proved that the diversification of the pathogenetic cryotherapy variants (“sclerotomo-paravertebral”, “viscero-sclerotomic”, “vegetativesclerotomic”) increases the rehabilitation efficiency in patients with degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine, controls the algic syndrome, favours the functional condition of the vertebral column, vegetative nervous system and the psychoemotional state of the patiens. Treatment efficacy in degenerative diseases of the lumbar spine increases in case of a systemic vertebro-visceralvegetative approach.
Programs of antirecurrent treatment including the use of infra-red
thermography, somato-visceral cryotherapy associated with usual methods of
recurrence prevention have been worked out. All of them proved to be highly
effective.
