Summary

The work “ Ontic vision and Poetic Art in the Romanian Proze - M.Sadoveanu” (a thesis of Doctor of Filology) is presented as a total submission on the subject of study. The most essential literary themes from the vast Sadovenian literary work are analysed meticulously. The author starts from the undoubtful premise that M.Sadoveanu is a fundamental writer of world literature and not of a Romanian one only. In this respect both older critical opinions (G.Ibraileanu, G.Călinescu, T.Vianu, Perpessicius, P.Constantinescu, Vl.Streinu) and the newer (D.Micu, C.Ciopraga Al.Paleologu, I.Vlad, N.Manolescu, M.Spiridon, F.Băileşteanu, Z.Sangeorzan), even those inedited of the latest ones ( D.Florea, N. Frigoiu and C.M.Popa) are well balanced.

The research begins with an introduction which leads to a methodical reading of the material and in which the major stages of Sadoveanian destiny as a writer are determined. The chapters which follow :“Mihail Sadoveanu’s life and creation Itinerary, “Sadoveanu and the Spiritual Unity of the Historical Counties”, “The Inn – the Archetypical Predilect Symbol of the Novelist”, “The Chronological Principle in Evocation of the Past”, “Capitalization and Reinterpretation of National Myths”, “Sacred and Profane in M.Sadoveanu’s Creation”, “Aspects of Sadoveanu’s creation poetics: between the narration gift and the lyrical speech” make up the key-aspects of the portrait of Sadovenian creation: the investigation of the Romanian native fund, the introduction of universal idea, of Sadovenian narration and hermeneutics, the investigation of profoundness, “obscure layer” of the literary work. A distinct place in the dessertation has the critical analysis

of Sadoveanu’s poetic aspects, the poetics of this prose ( fiction), the poetics peculiarities, the fusion wiht nature and the major role of the simile and metaphor in this fusion, the symbols and national myths expression, the inventions of some personal myths.

The thesis, as a whole, intends to integrate M.Sadoveanu’s work into the values of the world literature, the vision and poetic art showing the indispensable components of the creator of genius: the profound personal conception implied in the literary work, the touching of the native quintessence, the lucid shaping of our spiritual life, the setting off of the affiliation of Sadovenian characters to a certain meridian of a cosmic linking, the presentation of a subordonation up to the identification of personal destiny with that of the nation one, the living under the sign of religiosity, of penetrating “in nuce” of the esoteric layer, of determination of National spirituality, the interdependence of durable elements with the top of the transtemporal wisdom.

“Ontic vision and Poetic Art” represents the Sadovenian insignia of the creator who defines him and determines with certainty his distinct place in the Romanian literature. By means of critical comparativity, parallels of artistic, conceptual, philosophical, ethical and esthetical kinds are traced through the Sadovenian masterpieces and the world literary thesaurus and of all Romanians.
