The processes occuring in the carved cave, in the cutting plasmotron as well as electrosupply sources have been studied in complex in the given thesis.
The conformities in the form of polynomial dependences models of the basic parameters cutting cave formation and plasmotron performance at various regime and constructive plasmotron parameters have been established.
Mathematical models by means of the differential equations of the electromagnetic processes in the plasmotrons electrosupply sources giving the possibility to ensure its optimal performance have been obtained.
Heat and errosion characteristics of the new type cutting plasmotron with the hollow copper electrode capable of working at inverse polarity gives the possibility to increase electrode resourse to 7 – 14 shifts.
As a result of the investigations a gamut of cutting plasmotrons have been developed and a number of installations of plasma – arc metals cutting with thickness of 160-200 mm have been established at dozens of industrial enterprises.
