Summary

The dissertation presents research results of the professional training of students from the Art Sciences and Design faculty, on the basis of Artistic Weaving.

The work has been elaborated on the basis of methodological principles for the professional training of students on Art Weaving composition as a process. Psycho-pedagogic bases of decorative composition on knowledge application in the teacher-artist training system have been defined. The essence of the decorative composition notion and its specific characteristics have been singled out. The process of Artistic Weaving conditioned by the specificity of the artistic form of material airangament and plastic means of decorative textile compositions realization has been indentified. On the basis of the data obtained in the research, the requirements to the professional skillsof the future teacher in the field of decorative composition activity have been elaborated.

According to the stages of creative process development a classification of some functional groups of creative abilities related to artistic reception, artistic thinking and fine arts` activity has been made. Bisides general creative abilities, of great importance are the abilities related to the decorative-compositional activity.

In the second chapter of the dissertation the theoretical bases of the performed experiment have been determined, a set of methodological requirements, modern didactical principles applied for defining the experiment has been suggested and the analysis of the results are given. The specialized course in “Artistic Weaving” which reflect the characteristic features of tachnological artistic possibilities of application in weaving, both plane plastic elements and plastic means referring to volume composition, has been elaborated. Each theme includes not only theoretical bases, but didactic technologies of artistic design, creative work performance, and assessment criteria of the textile composition made in the material.

The effectiveness of the problem solving was conditioned by the application of a new concept in teaching, the art of the textile based on the use of the elaborated methodological structure of plane textile forms transformation into volume textile forms and textile composition forms systematization results of the experimental research confirm the effectiveness of the methodology application of the bases of decorative composition in the process of the students professional training in Artistic Weaving.
