The study is done at the department of Epidemiology of Chsinau State Medicine and Fharmacy University „Nicolae Testemitanu”, Republic of Moldova and is dedicated to the problem of health education of the population in intestinal infections and intestinal invasions. The study shows the results of the epidemiological retrospective analysis of intestinal infections and invasions in the Republic of Moldova during the period 1995-2002, the structure and level of illness, the long term and yearly dynamic, distribution of illness by age groups, illness in different administrative zones of the republic and also the previous economic damage caused by the intestinal infections. On the base of epidemiological retrospective analyse from the period 1995-2002 it was demonstrated and proved the problem of intestinal infections and invasions for the health of the population in the Republic of Moldova at the present period. At first it was made a study at the level of knowledge of the population ( pupil, teachers, mothers with small kids) from the Republic of Moldova cancerning the of epidemiology and prophylaxis of intestinal infections and invasions, using the method of fulfilling of the forms. Based on the results gained, there were elaborated original informational materials and created a special programe of health education of the population, which was introduced in experimental schools of the North, Central and South areas of the republic. This programme was equipped with sets of informations that were multipled and spread in the experimental schools. Methodical seminars were hold to introduce the materials. After a 6 months period of activity of health education of the population,it was hold the second part of fulfillment of forms by the same pupils. The level of knowledge of the pupils in the problem of epidemiology and prevention of intestinal infections and invasions arised from 38,2% to 74,7%, which confirms the effectivenss of the activity hold.
The orientation to the profilactic activity and of propaganda ofa healthy life style of the young generation, the argumented algorirm of activity, the serious volume of studies, original solutions of the health education of the population in terms of intestinal infections and invasions, succesfull implementationof the materials in practice permits to recommend the use of such activity in other regions of the country.
