The paper presents a complex sociologic investigation realized by the author during the past 5 years. The theoretic – methodological foundation is based on the sociologic accomplishments in this field. The empirical foundation represents the results of the field research al local, regional and national research with the immediate participation of the author. The paper comprises: an introduction, three chapters, conclusion, bibliographic references, and annexes.
In Chapter 1 – The theoretic – methodological frame of researching juvenile delinquency – it outlines the sociologic means of studying the dynamics of delinquency of underaged between 11-16 years from Romania, it carries out a an analysis of the main categories of delinquency and it mentions the increase of the degree of social menace through increased aggressiveness and ssociation with delinquent groups. At the same time, the method of investigation and determination of the research pattern is settled.
In Chapter 2 – The social factors and the typology of juvenile delinquency in Romania. It is presented the evolution of juvenile delinquency from Iasi County and examined the influence of the family environment, above juvenile conducts, the typology of socialization through educational groups, as well as the settlement functions of the intra-individual relationships,communication processes and the influence of neighborhood groups over the phenomenon of juvenile delinquency and the increase of felony committed by young people particularly against the property.
In Chapter 3 – Practical aspects of social control in juvenile delinquency. It is presented the analytical synthesis of sociologic studies realized in educational centers for institutionalized underaged. It is at the same time analyzed the delinquency polymorphism and conducts’ etiology of young delinquents, as well as the examination of prevention measures of the cases of juvenile deviance through the concentration of he actions upon certain critical aspects of the socialization and social integration processes.
Based on the sociologic investigation concrete recommendations are elaborated with regards to the minimization of juvenile delinquency.
