The thesis structure: Introduction, 6 chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, 209 pages of basic text, 83 tables, 6 figures, 332 bibliography titles and 39 annexes. Results are published in 68 scientific papers.
Field of the study: genetic breeding of sheep, in specially, Karakul race.
Aim of the paper: elaboration and scientific foundation of conceptual and strategically methodological of creating and perfecting of new type of Moldavian Karakul sheep.
Objectives: revealing the biological particularities of morpho productive characters at the Moldavian Karakul lambs and sheep, elucidate the factors and correlative links that determine their variability; elaboration of objectives methods for characters assessing, argumentation the optimal parameters of lambs selection and efficient variants mating of sheep; comparative assessment and argumentation of objectives methods of genotypic testing of reproductive after qualities of descendents; elucidation precocity, heritability and repeatability of body weight and milk production at the sheep; determining the economic value of the selection character, elaboration the complex indices selection of sheep; creating the genealogical structureof and describe the new type of Moldavian Karakul sheep.
Scientific novelty and originality: at the first have been argument objective methods and optimal criteria and parameters for selecting of lambs and sheep of adult Karakul after a whole complex of the principled characters, which have been led to the creation methodology of new type of sheep.
The results principled new for science and practice consist in the development of scientific methodology to improve Karakul sheep race, argumentation criteria and optimal parameters of sheep complex selection after skin quality, milk production and body weight, elaboration of objective assessment methods of skin characters, genotypic testing of reproductive by quality of descendent, selection of grayish lambs of new- marble coloring, evaluation of the breeds value of the sheep after the complex selection indexes, which determined creation of the new type of sheep Moldavian Karakul with increased production skills for skin-milk-meat.
Theoretical semnification: the profile science branch was completed with new knowledge on the originals methods of evaluation and selection of Karakul sheep, and world fund of sheep genetic resources – whith new principled type of Moldavian Karakul sheep.
The practical value of the paper consists in elaboration and application of same objective methods of selection and breeding of the Moldavian Karakul sheep, contributing to the economic efficiency of the branch.
The implementation of scientific results: have been applicated at the creation of performance flocks of Moldavian Karakul sheep, included in the Instructions of evaluation marks of Karakul sheep, the Recommendations on sheep technology product and the Program of amelioration of Karakul sheep in the Republic of Moldova.
