The dissertation is devoted to the research of adolescents and young men’s health status and their liability for military service.
For the first time in the Republic of Moldova the recruits’ morbidity rate and their distributions by groups of health status in accordance to the aptitude for the military service, dynamics and tendencies of these data were studied.
The research was based on the results of medical examinations, which were performed by military-medical examination boards many years of call-up activities. The research was extended upon entire country. At the same time, the detailed randomized studies were performed in the northern, central and southern regions of the country, and Chisinau city.
As a result of the research, the regularity of recruits’ morbidity indexes changes and recruits distributions by the groups of health produced, also the prognosis of further changes was made. Prevalent classes of diseases that form the recruits’ morbidity were revealed.
For the first time the economical loss to the State and its Armed Forces due to imperfect medical exam and enrolling in military service ill persons, who were late dismissed from military, was estimated.
By means of special sociological research, the opinions of 225 doctors who were ivolved in the recruts medical exam were analysed.
The establishment and development in Republic of Moldova of the medical sistem for preparations citizens for the military service, its short-falls, deficiencis and their causes were studed.
The systemic approach, big volume and detalied analysis of the obtained data allowed to elaborate a complex of measures primarily oriented on preserving and fortifing the recruits health status, and to completing the Armed Forces with healthy contingent.
