Summary

The aim of the work is to accomplish a complex research and determine states’ obligations in the area of protecting the environment, implementing methods of protecting politics both on international and national level, determine international juridical mechanisms and instruments that should be applied to achieve this purpose.

The investigations were made on the basis of international documents and papers, conventions, treaties and agreements between states, European directives and declarations as well on internal legislation of Moldova.

As a methodological base there were used the following methods: historical, juridical, observation, analysis and synthesis, as well the comparative, statistical, dialectic, content analysis of the documents was performed.

The theoretical and practical importance of this investigation is determined by the continuous growth of states’ obligations to protect the environment. The conclusions and recommendations can help to a better understanding and promoting politics in this area, to formulate and perfect the mechanism of achieving it in accordance with the legislation in force.

The work is useful for elaborating a conceptual base of environmental politics of all states including Republic of Moldova, in accordance to time imperatives. Also, it can be used as theoretical support and didactical material for those who study “Ecological Law” and “International Public Law”.

The conclusions and suggestions can be used by resort bodies to improve legislation for a more efficient and insistent promotion of environmental politics in Republic of Moldova.

This present work intends to emphasize elements of environmental politics that establishes states’ obligations of environment protection and ways of their consolidation, target problems which will set actions into environmental politics for the next period.
