Summary

Research area: Social medicine and management.

The aim of the workis the scientific grounding and development of the cross secroral interaction model of the health care and education systems in protecting reproductive health of young people as exemplified by specialists training in secondary vocational education.

Objectives of the research:1. To conduct a scientific and methodological content analysis of the existing approaches to protecting reproductive health of young people in the region of Eastern Europe and Central Asia and to identify peculiar features of youth reproductive health as a medical – social group and reserves for improvement. 2. To estimate organizing and effectiveness of preventive measures for the protection of young people reproductive health as examplified by institutions of secondary vocational education in the field of health care and education. 3. To develop and substantiate a model of cross sectoral interaction on reproductive health of youth on the basis of scientific sources generalization and research results,4. To develop preventive techniques on reproductive health of youth for cross-cultural interaction of public health and education.

Scientific novelty and originality:The system approach with appliance of the C-system model and the chart of organizing systems management levels were used for the scientific substantiation and development of the model of cross sectoral interaction on the protection of the youth’s reproductive health. As a result of the research, the methodological basis for assessing the quality of the work carried out to protect the youth health’s was determined, and the effectiveness of the anonymous survey on adolescents as an element of monitoring the effectiveness of reproductive health care was proved in combination with the method of "individual structure interviewing" of specialists in health care and education systems.

A significant scientific problem solved in the research is to identify the platform and develop a model for cross sectoral collaboration on reproductive health care in the public health and education systems and to create tools that provide training for secondary education specialists.

The theoretical significanceof the work is determined by the fact that the theoretical points and conclusions contained in it create basis for the modernization of the teaching process in medical and pedagogical colleges for the protection of the young people’s health, in justifying the cross sectoral approach for developing a value attitude to health including reproductive health.

The applied value of the work is to develop an educational and methodical complex for the protection of reproductive health with the use of software and training support in the process of training mid-level personnel for health and education. The results of the survey of youth and health professionals reflect the specific features of the organization of preventive work in the field of health.

Implementation of the results:The program was tested and implemented at the State Educational Institution “Institute of Education Development”, the State Educational Institution "Tiraspol Medical College named after L.A. Tarasevich, in the Educational Center "Development”
