The particularities of tuberculosis mortality in the current epidemiological condition”. PHD thesis. Chisinau, 2019.
The structure of the thesis: the study consists of 145 pages and includes: introduction, 4 chapters, general conclusions and practical recommendations, bibliography (181 sources), 35 figures, 65 tables. The theme of the thesis is published in 17 scientific papers. Key words: tuberculosis, mortality, necropsy, post-mortem established tuberculosis, cause of death. Field of study: Phthisiopneumology. The purpose of the study: Studying the particularities of tuberculosis deaths during different periods of rehabilitation of the phthisiopneumological service. Objectives: 1) Analysis of new cases deaths caused by tuberculosis progression in different periods of time. 2) Identification of the tuberculosis particularities deaths established post-mortem in different time periods. 3) Study of retreatment cases died from progression of tuberculosis at different time periods. 4) The characteristic of TB deaths from associated diseases and other causes. The scientific novelty: Consist in determination of the particularities of mortality of tuberculosis under current conditions. The data obtained contributed to a broader analysis of the epidemiological situation for the improvement of the antituberculous activities of the phthisiopneumology service and the reduction of the death rate by tuberculosis.
The theoretical significance and applicative value of the research: A complex research has been done, for the first time, on determination of the particularities of mortality of the tuberculosis under the current actual conditions,at the city level in the Republic of Moldova. The data obtained from the study contributed to a broader analysis of the epidemiological situation in Chisinau municipality and to the correction of the antiepidemic measures for the improvement of the antituberculous activities of the ftiziopulmonology service, as well as to the amelioration of the detection of the diagnosis and the anti-tuberculosis treatment.The practical significance of the study. Establishing key factors contributing to the unfavorable development of tuberculosis and installing death allowed age and gender contingencies to be identified for vulnerable persons as regards lifetime from onset of tuberculosis. The solved scientific problem of the thesis: The structure, and the causes of deaths by tuberculosis at the stage, were determined, until the implementation of the DOTS strategy versus different periods of anti-tuberculosis activity under the implemented DOTS strategy conditions. New information has been obtained about the factors contributing to the unfavorable development of tuberculosis and the causes of tuberculosis deaths under current epidemiological conditions.
