Summary

Thesis Structure: introduction, four chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 310 titles, 11 annexes, 140 basic text pages. The results of the thesis were presented in 3 6 articles published in anthologies and specialized journals in Republic of Moldova and abroad.

Field of study: political sciences, international relations theory, strategic security studies.

The purpose of the research is to conceptualize the place and role of ICPO INTERPOL in ensuring global security, identifying and substantiating the contribution of its national structures to the security of the Republic of Moldova.

The objectives of the research are: the realization of the historiographical synthesis of the international organization INTERPOL; analysis of the evolution of research by international organizations in security studies; identifying the theoretical and methodological aspects of the institutional-functional character of the INTERPOL international organization, elaborating the methodology for investigating the contribution of ICPO INTERPOL to ensuring security; substantiating the political and legal status of ICPO INTERPOL in the context of international cooperation; determining the strategies and instruments of contribution of ICPO INTERPOL to ensure security; the deduction of the prerequisites for the Republic of Moldova's accession to ICPO INTERPOL; the evaluation of the involvement of the mechanisms for strengthening the security strategies of NCB INTERPOL Chisinau.

Scientific novelty and originality consists in the fact that this is one of the first theoretical and analytical work within the domestic academic environment regarding the contribution of OIPC INTERPOL providing multi-level security. The innovative and original character is demonstrated by the conceptualization of the role and activity of INTERPOL in the process of ensuring global security and its contribution to the national security of the Republic of Moldova at the present stage.

The important scientific problem solved consists in the political and juridical substantiation of ICPO INTERPOL's contribution on ensuring multi-level and multilateral security, which led to the identification of operationalization tools and strategies in establishing the new security architecture under the emergence of hybrid risks, in order to develop cooperation between member states for ensuring national security at the contemporary stage.

The theoretical significance consists in the elaboration and development of the conceptual -theoretical framework regarding the contribution of international organizations to the provision of multi-level security; the argumentation of the place and role of INTERPOL in the format of international collaboration in ensuring the national security of the Republic of Moldova; substantiating the mechanisms for optimizing the cooperation of the Republic of Moldova within the international partnerships offered by OIPC INTERPOL.

The applicative value of the research is the practical relevance of the research, which ensures the decision makers with the materials, conclusions and recommendations regarding the contribution of the international organizations to the security, in order to cooperate with the international organizations, including with ICPO INTERPOL. Decision makers, based on the results of the study, will be able to assess the main threats, risks and vulnerabilities the Republic of Moldova is facing. At the same time, the recommendations made can be used in the elaboration of the national security policy of the Republic of Moldova. The theoretical-empirical material can serve as a didactic support for training specialists in the fields of political science, international relations and international law. Theoretical and empirical results, conclusions and recommendations on the contribution of international organizations to security can be used in further research in the field.

Implementation of scientific results. The results of the research were discussed and approved at the meeting of the Department of International Relations and the Profile Seminar for the specialty: 562.03. Problems and strategies of global and regional development. At the same time, they were published in 15 scientific articles in peer reviewed scientific journals, presented at 15 national and international conferences in the Republic of Moldova, Romania, Ukraine and Georgia; in anthologies of scientific materials. The scientific elaborations have been approved within international projects, during the years of doctoral studies at AUF, Erasmus, Riga University, FP7 European Program. Also, the results of the study are used within courses and seminars held by the author of the thesis at the Department of International Relations, Faculty of International Relations, Political and Public Administration Sciences, State University of Moldova.
