For the first time in Republic of Moldova there was completed the investigation of health status for students of military Academy “Stefan cel Mare”.
The all students from I year of studies until IV were included in the study. There were researched the physical development, risk factors, that influence on health status and progress in studies, morbidity on adressability and the complex medical examination, the hospital morbidity.
On the basis of 13 selected indicators there was elaborated the integral index of physical development, that amounted for the students of: I year – 45%, II year – 46%, III year – 69% and IV year – 58%.
There was carried out of research of 32 determinants that influence on health status and progress in studies of students. On the basis of obtained data there was elaborated the integral index of determinants and there was established the rank of each year of studies: first place – III year (the index = 52), the second place – I year (the index = 51), the third place – II year (the index = 50), the fourth place – IV year (the index = 46).
On the basis of the correlation analysis there were revealed 8 significant coefficients of correlation that showed the association between social determinants and the health status of students. There were revealed 6 significant associations between the social determinants and the progress in education.
In the result of investigation there was determined the level of morbidity, including the data of adressability, the complex medical examination and the hospital morbidity. There was amounted the level of total morbidity and was defined the rating of years on that indicator: first place – II year (2 350‰); the second place – I year (2 327‰); the thrd place – IY year (1836‰), the fourth place – III year (1677‰).
On the basis of obtained results there were elaborated the practical recommendations on reduction of the morbidity, the improvement of health status and progress in studies for the students.
The result of investigation was the optimization of the staff and the organization structure of medical assistance in the Academy „Stefan cel Mare” and implementation the new didactic curriculum „The fundamentals of medical knowledge and healthy life” for the students
