Summary

The subject of the research hints at a very important aspect in the domain of electronic business and that of promoting the informational society, as one of the main instrument of the international commerce is the electronic commerce, which development is supposed to abandon the sovereignity in the commercial domain.

The evaluation of the world experience in the domain of the electronic commerce has a wide research interest, especially in the context that the multilateral system of the international commerce is threatened by the proliferation of the commercial blocks, which promote protectionist tendencies towards third countries. In this respects, the research adopted the problem of implementing the electronic commerce in Romania. The theoretical dimension emphasises the exigencies of the transition to new informational technologies, and some other additional concepts, as the security of the data in the computerised economic systems, the electronic TIPS, the electronic signature, the security of transmitting and safely keeping the data.

The study divides the fundamental particularities of the process of implementing the electronic commerce and proposes a more thorough analysis of the problems in the going on of this new type of commerce. There were also comparatively analised commercial activities in Romania and in the other countries of the European Union.

In the study, there is supported the necessity of borrowing the experience in the electronic commerce , especially that in the European part, the member states of the European Union. In the given context, there was emphasised the necessity that those countries having a small presence in the world market, the Internet should give the chance to break the historical and geographical barriers, and, consequently, quite an economical revitalizing.
