Summary

Diagnosis of mammary gland cancer in medical workers” Thesis for the scientific degree of MD Chisinau, 2020 Thesis content: introduction, 4 chapters, general conclusions and practical recommendations, bibliography from 251 sources, 38 annexes, 174 pages of printed text, 30 figures, 15 tables. The obtained results there were published in 40 scientific papers.

Study domain: Oncology and radiotherapy. Study purpose: Evaluation of oncological morbidity by mammary gland cancer in medical workers in the Republic of Moldova, of some medical-social and diagnostic aspects, for the modification of the Diagnostic and Monitoring Algorithm in medical workers at risk of developing mammary gland cancer and elaboration of prevention and control measures .

Study objectives: 1. Analysis of breast cancer cases in medical workers in the Republic of Moldova during 2010-2018; 2. Comparative evaluation of mammary gland cancer in medical workers according to medical-social and specialized characteristics; 3. Study of comorbidities in responding medical workers with breast cancer; 4. Highlighting diagnostic methods and results in medical workers with mammary gland cancer with the development of prevention and control measures; 5. Completion the algorithm for diagnosis and monitoring (control) in medical workers at risk of developing breast cancer.

Scientific news and originality: for the first time, a complex study on the diagnosis of BC in medical workers was studied and performed, in order to develop prevention and control measures.

The solved scientific problem: consists in determining the particularities of the risk factors at the workplace, studying the medico-social indicators according to the specialty, profile, age, geographical area, etc. with the aim of preventing the development of BC in medical workers, optimizing risk factors at work, developing measures for prevention and monitoring.

Theoretical importance: The results of the paper aim at assessing the increased number of medical workers with BC, both doctors and nurses, being defined as a valuable medical and social problem with various risk factors, obvious psycho-emotional overload that endangers the health of medical staff. The management of the early diagnosis of the medical workers belonging to the risk group will contribute to the obvious decrease of the number of cases with BC in the medical workers and will allow the increase of the survival of the respondents medical workers with BC in case of early detection.

The applicative value of the study: practical recommendations were developed in the conduct of oncologists and at the level of each doctor and nurse, with the performance of annual mammological and gynecological medical examination, with their documentation through USG and mammographic clinics, with the realization of free diagnostic medical services, with the release of a working day with the remuneration of the respective day in order to optimize the diagnosis of BC in medical workers, and the elaboration of a conduct algorithm, which makes possible the application in practice at any level of state or private medical institution.

The using of the scientific results: the scientific results of the study need to be presented at the level of the MH, and the Syndicate with the implementation in medical practice at the level of each medical institution of mandatory annual mammological examination of all medical workers at work or by contract at other medical institutions, by obligatory documentation of the results of their investigations through imaging clichés, by free and unrestricted access to the respective services and granting a day off to pass the diagnosis with retention of salary, in order to early detection of tumors of harm to medical workers, optimizing the action of harmful factors at work by providing free special equipment, satisfactory working conditions, with insurance by the MH or the Compulsory Insurance Company or at the level of Insured access free of charge for methods of mammological diagnosis, treatment and medical rehabilitation (including prostheses of the mammary glands), ensuring professional rehabilitation, extension of benefits for temporary or total disability and disability benefits for life.
