Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 310 titles, 9 annexes, 154 pages of basic text, 1 table, 9 charts. The thesis results are published in 24 scientific articles.

The aim of the thesis consists of conceptual-theoretical, methodological, analitical study of the Moldovan-French relations in the context of the European integraiton process as well as their development perspective.

Research objectives: historical analysis of the research of Moldovan-French relations in the context of the European integration process; defining and analyzing the phenomenon of the foreign policy, bilateral relations and integration process; designing a methodological aproach to the research of Moldovan-French relations in the context of the European integration process; research of the legal framework of the Moldovan-French relations; estimating the political-diplomatic dimention of Moldovan-French relations; evaluating economic and socio-cultural Moldovan-French perspective in the context of the European integration process; determining the Republic of Moldova – Republic of France francofon partnership in the context of the European integration process.

The scientific novelty and originality lies in the fact that for the first time in the scientific literature of the Republic of Moldova, including the one from abroad, an attempt was made to build a full picture of the main aspects of the Moldovan-French cooperation in the context of the European integration process, as well as to examine the interraction of ”bilateral relations” – ”integration process”.

The result that contributes to solving an important scientific problem lies in determining the role of France in the context of the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova, which is confirmed by the existence of real possibilities to strengthen Moldovan-French relations.

Theoretical significance is expressed by arguing the need to strengthen Moldovan-French relations and identifying the conceptual and theoretical interractions of the ”bilateral relations” – ”integration process”.

Practical value: the research results, conclusions and identified recommendations can serve as benchmarks for decision makers in order to strengthen Moldovan-French relations that could facilitate the European integration process of the Republic of Moldova. The research materials can be applied when designing relevant university courses.

The implementation of research findings is reflected in the research theses of some national and international conferences in Romania, Poland, the Russian Federation; Georgia; in articles published in specialty journals and magazines in the country and abroad; in the author's activity as a lecturer of International Relations, Moldova State University.
