Summary

Thesis of Doctor of Medicine (Chishinau, 2007, tables 15, figures 19, annexes 23, bibliography – 166).

The thesis contains an evaluation of the monoparental family situation in the country and abroad, emphasizing risk factors that maintain these tendencies in the family evolution.

The purpose of the study is to evaluate the medical-social and psychological aspects of preschool children’s health from monoparental families in the rural area, suggesting the following objectives: emphasizing the tendencies leading to the formation process of this type of family, obtaining the information that would characterize the monoparental family in the Republic of Moldova, studying the preschool children’s health through the evolution of physical development indexes, estimation of the level and structure of morbidity from monoparental families, comparative study between the obtained data and the ones which includes morbidity of children from complete families, estimation of the registered children’s morbidity in the rural preschool institutions, determination of the level of children preparedness for school from both sides.

To achieve this goal, an analysis of the morbidity data through addressability to the family doctor for a period of three years was made, the physical development indexes were evaluated by the „centile” method and „stairs regression” method, and the children’s test (application methods – individually and verbally) was carried out.. Data are presented according to the type of the family. In this way, it was confirmed the relation between the way of living, family type and the health of its members.

Scientific reasoning of the presented data represent a study orientated to the elaboration of diseases prophylaxis measures, improving the preparedness for school and children’s adaptation to the condition of children’s groups from educational institutions. Data analysis regarding the study of children’s morbidity lie at the basis of optimization of medical services granted by the family doctor with the purpose of recommendations elaboration for the protection of this children’s category for overtaking or minimization of the existent problems.
