Summary

The herein work represents the results of a research on evaluation of atmospheric air from 17 leisure zones, Chisinau town, and 3 districts which are planned to serve as building zones in near future, through ecobioindication method. As bioindication organisms served mosses, lichens and algaes, which are very receptive to the environmental changes and good heavy metals accumulators. The evaluation was done based on active and passive monitoring. The research for the first time permitted to establish and evaluate the mosses, lichens and algae biological diversity with different level of sensibility to air pollution and algae – to water pollution; and the main pollution sources within the researched area. The applied method is accessible, expenses less, simple to run and enable an express evaluation.

Based on research results the leisure zones of Chisinau town were delimited in 4 zones following the level of their atmospheric air pollution. Therefore based on obtained information a number of suggestions will be forward to be taken in consideration.
