Summary

It was done a clinical research of the efficiency of the local administration of “Regesan” as a citoprotective and regenerative remedy which represent the oil from seeds of grapes, in the complex treatment of cornea diseases characterized by superficial defects.

The “Regesan” was administered to four groups of patients who suffered of eye superficial traumas, burns at I-II degree, herpetical keratitis (superficial forms) and corneal ulcer. The medicine was administered by: one drop in the conjunctival sack four-six times per day.

The efficiency of this treatment was determined by the comparasion with the results of those from control groups which contain the same number of patients with the same corneal defects and the standard treatment without “Regesan” administration. In the control groups were used, as a regenerative remedy: Catina oil, Rosa Canina oil, solcoseril gel.

The research took place in the ophthalmology departments of the Republican hospital and of the Municipal Clinical Hospital “Sfinta Treime” where were included 250 patients: 159 men (63,6%) and 91 women (36,4%) between the 14-85 years old.

The utilization of “Regesan” in corneal diseases characterized by superficial defects contributes to a faster epithelial regeneration of corneal defects. It was proved that “Regesan” intensifies the regeneration of affected portions of cornea in the superficial traumatic keratitis, Ist-IInd degree burns, in superficial forms of herpetic keratitis and cornean ulcer. In this way, the observation of the efficiency concerning the local administering of the new regenerative stimulator, allows to include this medicine in the complex treatment of indicated diseases.

It was elaborated a rigid therapeutical contact lens for a long perfusion of medicines and was approved this in the treatment of 20 patients with traumatic keratitis, cornean burns and ulcer. This method assured a long installation of different medical
