The goal of the research include adaptation and implementation of some basically studies for their involving in crop breeding and seed control, which will stay at the foundation of the concept of an informational system for the assistance in sunflower investigations and breeding.

The researches were directed to the revealing of few morphological and molecular features ant their utilization in prognosation of hybrid vigor, both with selection of most prospective inbred lines. Besides, it was done the evaluation of the biological quality of the parental lines based on qualitative traits of the seeds, protein spectra of helianthinin and PCR analyses using specific and SSR primers, which, finally, were integrated in the structural and functional concept of the informational system. Implementation of the dispersional and correlational analyses permit to display those morphological and molecular features whish correlate with the seed productivity, and the factors associated with heterosis manifestation.

Electrophoretical analysis of the helianthinin showed variability at the level of β chain polypeptides of C subunit (Mr 20 – 25 kDa) and at the level of the stable to dissociation component (58 şi 61 kDa), which were used for the elaboration of the standard spectra for every studied genotype, it’s frequency characterizing the biological purity of the genotype. As the result, it was processed a method of helianthinin extraction from a single seed and the strategy of its analysis for the determination of biological purity of the sunflower genotypes (patent № 3324). Also, there was proposed the method of the estimation of the level of hybridization based on the SSR markers and the method of evaluation of the level of sterility in CMS lines, both based on PCR technique.

All the outcomes of the investigations were put into the concept of the Biological Informational System (BIS), which may become a strong tool with the Data Base, considered as Support Informational System of data administration, and with SSD component for the decision making, with large possibilities which facilitate theoretical and practical researches of the sunflower biology and breeding.
