Summary

The purpose of this study is a comparative investigation of the complex therapy, including antihomotoxic (homeopathic) preparations, and the traditional therapy for patients with gingivitis or parodontitis. It was investigated 162 patients, 72 children and 90 adults. Children with light or medium degree of gingivitis were divided in 2 groups. Children of one group treated with “Metrogyl-denta” gel, which was applied once a day for 30 min during 7 days. The second group of children with gingivitis treated with complex ointment, including Traumeel S, Lymphomyosot, Coenzyme compositum (“Heel”, Germany). Complex therapy was more effective than the traditional one. Patients with mild or medium degree of parodontitis were divided in 4 groups, one of them treated with traditional therapy. For treatment of other groups’ patients used the traditional therapy and Traumeel S ointment or it’ combination with one of the antihomotoxic preparations: Coenzyme compositum or Lymphomyosot. Complex therapy was more effective than the traditional therapy only. Investigation of antioxidant system (AOS) state defense of saliva in children with gingivitis and adults with parodontitis showed it’ imbalance, which reduced more effective during treatment with usage of complex method therapy, including antihomotoxic preparations. Was found the sufficient disturbances of salivary parameters, reflected of bacteriostatic function, protein’s and mineral’s metabolism, in patients with gingivitis and parodontitis on the early stage of pathological process and more effective correction by action of complex therapeutic methods. With help of correlation analysis (Spearmen) between the clinical characteristics (indexes: OHI-s, PMA, PI) and biochemical salivary parameters during treatment of patients with gingivitis or parodontitis it has been established interrelation that allow more correctly (objectively) to estimate the inflammation’s degree, spreading of pathological process and control it during treatment.

It was elaborated the method for differential diagnostics of parodontites with different degree of pathological process activity (light, medium, severe), using complex analysis of antioxidant-glutathione, glutathione-dependent enzymes (glutathione reductase, glutathione-S-transferase) and glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase (Patent for Invention, № 3162 G₂, 2006, MD).
