Summary

The structure of project. The project consists from: introduction, five chapters, conclusion and recommend¬ations, bibliography with 241 items, 253 pages of the body text, 101 tables, 39 figures, 73 attachments. The received results have been published in 120 scientific and methodical work, including 57 in 2002 – 2009.

Field of studding: the scope of study of this project covers theoretical, methodological and practical aspects of compared analysis of economic efficiency of gross production and various types of products in agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Moldova.

The subject of research is: determination of the economic efficiency of production in agricultural enterprises of the Republic of Moldova; systemic and methodological approach to assessment of economic efficiency of production in a competitive environment.

The main goal of this paper is research and elaboration of theoretical and methodical basis for assessment of economic efficiency and arguing of priority directions for increasing efficiency of production, improvement of methods of assessment of the integral potential of resources in a competitive economy.

Methodology of scientific research comprises: analysis and synthesis; monographic analysis; economic and statistic methods; methods of rating evaluation, non-parametric methods of stochastic frontier analysis (SFA) and data envelopment analysis (DEA), etc.

Scientific novelty and originality consists in: theoretical approach regarding the concept of economic efficiency category; elaboration of the scheme – the main blocks and subsystems of indicators required for a complex analysis; elaboration of methodology of complex analysis of relative profit increase; elaboration and proposal of application of method of evaluation of integral potential of resources; elaboration and proposal of methodology of determination of the system of new integral (global) indicators that can be useful in assessment of utilization of resource potential; elaboration of new methodologies of assessment of competitiveness and complete economic efficiency of production; identification of priority directions for increasing efficiency of agricultural production in a competitive economy, etc.

Theoretical signification and implementation of the scientific results consists from priorities of proposals used in assessment of economic efficiency of agricultural production, improvement of the methods of economic efficiency estimation as well as from recommendations involve in the content of research referring to the activity of agricultural enterprises from Republic of Moldova in conditions of competitive economy.

The recommend¬ations partially are used in the activity of evaluation of economic efficiency of agricultural production, in research of profile scientific institutions, and for purpose of education in economic higher educational institutions.
