Summary

The results published in more as 70 scientific papers. Keywords: nuclear accident, dose, medical and biological effects, impact, irradiation, participants to mitigate the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident and their descendants, ionizing radiation, radioactivity, radiation protection, risk.

The paper work is dedicated to radiation hygiene and radiation protection. Research objectives are: determination of radionuclide in the environment components; calculation and estimation of the collective dose and the radiation level of irradiation of the population; investigation of the impact of ionizing radiation at the different levels of biological organization; evaluation of the consequences of exposure to ionizing radiation to the population of the Republic of Moldova associated to Chernobyl nuclear accident; estimation of the average of annual radiation risk associated of irradiation of population; elaboration of the complex and appropriate measures of radioprotection for population of the Republic of Moldova. The paper work is one of the first with a complex study, which is allowed to estimate the risk associated with the irradiation of population and it will take reasoned scientific measures for reduction of the impact of ionizing radiation of health. Study results allowed the development of the optimal system of hygienic and radiological monitoring, cartographies of the content of artificial radionuclides. The assessment of the levels of the immunological reactions in exposed people to ionizing radiations has enabled to determine the correlation between the type of immune response and clinical manifestation of pathologies. The radiosensibile aberrations of kario-type were detected; it obtained a news data of morbidity, including the cancer of participants to diminution the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident and to their descendants. It quantified the risk associated with irradiation of the population of the Republic of Moldova. It proposed a complex of appropriate measures of radioprotection of population for redusing or elimination (where is posibile) of risc associated with the irradiation of population.

The study is framed in the principles of the radiation hygiene and radiation protection, and also in foresights of the National Health Policy. The research are use in the scientific and practical work, in the teaching process, in the standardization of the methods of studies, in the drafting and modification of the legal acts, and measures to mitigate professionally exposed people to the irradiation, in optimization of the medical care and recovery and can serve as a support of reference for further investigations in this area.
