Summary

Thesis of doctor in agriculture, Kishinau, 2010. Introduction, 4 chapters, conclusions, bibliography – 227 sources, 3 annexes which includes 11 tables, 116 pages of main text, 21 figures and 39 tables. The results are published in 16 scientific papers.

The aim of this scientific rationale for the specificity of Carpathian bees breed and implementation of measures for conservation and improvement in the conditions of the Republic of Moldova. To achieve the aim there were put the following objectives: to study the morphological and productive traits and their variability, the content of biologically active substances in the body of bees, the creation of breeding groups and new lines of local carpathian bees.

Methodology of scientific research. Scientific methodology of thesis has constituted the scientific concepts of beekeepers scientists of world known. There was profoundly cleared up the researches methods and their using for estimating of carpathian bees’ morph-productive and biological index, biochemical features and qualities of bees products.

Innovation and originality of research consist in that, that using the new researches methods there were studied morph-productive features of carpathian bees.

For the first time in the Republic of Moldova there were studied the variability of bees morph-productive features, there were noticed the laws in dependence of year season and practically based for their using in breeding work. There was established the content of biologically – active substances in bees body and in bees products. There ware determined the content of biological active substances in bees body and in bees products.

There were created the new lines and breeding groups on the queens’ production apiaries, what allows keeping and improving the gene pool of local carpathian bees.

Theoretical significance of the work is to establish the morph-productive features in dependence of different factors, determining on biologically – active substances in bees’ body.

Applicative value of the work is to create new lines of carpathian bees and reproduction groups for their using and reproduction of breeding queens.

Practical implementation. Results are introduced at womb-vent apiaries and in the educational process of the State Agrarian University of Moldova.
