Structure of Dissertation: abstracts, introduction, 4 Chapters, Conclusion and Recommendations, Bibliography of 134 items, 6 addenda, 145 pages of basic text, 27 pictures, 12 tables. Results of research are published in 17 scientific papers.
Research area: The dissertation deals with key pedagogic problem – formation and development of elementary technological culture in primary schools, considered as part of general culture.
Research objective: Definition of conceptual and methodological principles of formation and development of elementary technological culture in primary schools.
Research tasks: Theoretical interpretation of the concept of elementary technological culture; determination of optimal age (class) which allows to begin technological classes as well as determination of optimal sequence of teaching materials; elaboration of Pedagogic Model for teaching elementary technological culture in primary schools; development and experimentation of Pedagogic Model.
Novelty and scientific originality: Introduction of concept of elementary technological culture; defining technology as a special pedagogical area for creative development of pupils in primary schools; elaboration of Pedagogic Model of teaching elementary technological culture in II – IV classes.
Theoretical significance: Development of methodology of teaching elementary technological culture; elaboration of curriculum of optional course „Technological Culture” for II – IV classes; elaboration of testing methodology for technological knowledge in II – IV classes.
Practical significance: Application of testing methodology for technological knowledge in II – IV classes; validation of curriculum for optional course “Technological Culture”, classes II – IV.
Implementation of scientific results: Research results have been discussed and approved at 5 scientific and scientific-practical republican and international conferences.
