MANY-SIDED ESTIMATION OF 15-18 YEARS ADOLESCENT HEALTH STATUS IN REPUBLIC OF MOLDOVA. The thesis of doctor in medicine. Chisinau, 2010. Structure of thesis: introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions, practical recommendations, bibliography of 191 sources, 172 pages of basic of text, 27 tables and 12 figures, 7 annexes. The obtained results have been published in 19 scientific works. Key words: adolescents, physical development, physiological functions, health status, morbidity chronical, psycho-emotional status etc. The aim of the study: many-sided estimation 15-18 years adolescent health status in Republic of Moldova, elaboration both physical development standards and recommendations concerning promotion and protection adolescent’s health. To achieve this aim the following objectives were proposed: estimation of adolescent physical status (by anthropometric measurements, circular, respiratory and nervous systems functional indexes determination), evaluation of their psycho-emotional and mental state, track out their social media and hurtful habits, study their morbidity, accomplish a complex medical examination, elaborate both physical development standards and recommendations concerning promotion and protection adolescent’s health. The characteristics of this study: the majority of adolescents are defined by below the optimal level of physical health 87.6%, but with a harmonious physical development (81.1%). The elasticity is satisfactory for 94.1% of adolescents. Nevertheless the physical preparedness of every third adolescent is insufficient being displayed by the dawn level of nervous processes. The share of adolescents with psychic limitrophe abnormalities is significant: neurotism (15.5-25.0%), incipient and marked psychological anxious (30.2-40.0% enlarging with age) etc. Is significant the number of adolescents which consume alcohol (23.2-79.3%), smoke tobacco (2.4-27.6%), do not practice physical activities (19.5-27.6%) and it is enlarging with age. In morbidity structure the musculoskeletal diseases are prevailing (19.4-22.0%), being followed by endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, diseases of nervous system etc. At one time with age the number of chronic diseases is accumulating. The practical-scientific value of study shows the importance both of adolescent physical development standards and criteria of elasticity which were elaborated and implemented. The obtained results will serve as referent point in professional orientation actions elaborating, as well as more rational apportionment of conscripts etc.
