Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography from 191 names, 18 appendices, 143 pages of basic text, 22 figures, 22 tables. The obtained results were published in12 articles.

Domain of study. In the thesis theoretical aspects of the concepts of “management strategy” and “strategic management” were examined. Taking into account the thesis’ theme, the strategic diagnosis of external and internal business environments in bakery industry was realized, with results’ systematization in SWOT analysis. On the basis of made researches, a concrete model of strategic management, adapted to the specific features of bakery industry, was suggested.

Objectives of thesis. The objectives of research is dealing with the strategic diagnosis of bakery industry from the Republic of Moldova and suggestion of an efficient model of strategic management, which will take into consideration the stages of development and implementation of a managerial strategy.

Scientific novation and originality. In thesis the strategic directions for the development of each participant in value chain for realizing bakery products were suggested; a concrete model of strategic management for bakery branch was developed and proved; medium-time and long-time strategies for bakery enterprises were developed on the basis of strategic matrix ADL-LC; the samples of annual Plan of strategic development and annual Action Plan for the implementation of the strategy were recommended; BSC model for the evaluation of strategy’s performances and strategic controlling in the bakery enterprises was adapted; as well as argued the efficiency of proposed strategies through the use of economic and mathematical methods.

Theoretical significance. Theoretical statements can create methodology’s elements for future scientific investigations. At the same time the research can be offered as bibliographical source for educational institutions of economic profile.

Applicative value of the thesis. Practical recommendations, presented in the dissertation, can be oriented to the use of diagnosis method of external and internal business environments for strategic analysis of bakery branch; implementation of strategic management model in the activity of bakery enterprises; development of documentation related to the application of strategic management; implementation of strategic directions for efficiency’s increase in the activity of participants in value chain for realizing of bakery products; optimization of production programs for efficiency’s evaluation of adopted strategy.

The importance of the said scientefic problem of the thesis in question is the formation of strategic vision for developing the bakery industry in Moldova and proposing a strategic management model adapted to the specific branch of study, including through the principles of management strategies.

Implementation of scientific results. Measures and recommendations suggested in the thesis were approved by the enterprises: JSC Combinatul de pâine din Balti, JSC Produse Cerealiere (Balti) and JSC Cuptorul Fermecat.
