Development and implementation of an efficient career management in the social work”, PhD thesis in economics, Chisinau, 2012
The Thesis includs: introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography from 154 names, 9 appendices, 131 pages of basic text, 19 figures, 11 tables. The obtained results were published in 9 articles.

Domain of study. In the thesis the concepts of professional career management and process of career planning were examined; the current situation in the field of social work from the Republic of Moldova was analyzed and career management of the local social workers was evaluated.
Objectives of thesis. The objectives of research concern the evaluation of career management and professional development of social workers from the Republic of Moldova and suggestion of a model of an efficient career management, as well as of the methodology of efficiency’s evaluation for career management, applicable for the field of social work.
The decesive scientific problem deals with the identification of reserves and lacks in the career management of social workers and suggestion of the efficient methodological, organisational, economic and social recommendations in order to improve it.
Scientifical novation and originality. In the thesis the concept of proffesional career and career management was presented taking into account the specific features of the social field; the Ghide regarding the development of the professional career of a social worker was developed; a complex of measures for efficiency’s increse of career management for social workers was suggested; the model of an efficient career management of social work was developed and justified; also, a concrete methodology for the calculation of an efficient career management was recommended and proved from the economic point of view.
Theoretical significance. Theoretical statements can create methodology’s elements for future scientifical investigations. At the same time the research can be offered as bibliographical source for higher educational institutions at the Faculty of „Psychology and Social Assistance” and the economic faculties.
Applicative value of the thesis. Practical recommendations, presented in the dissertation, can be applied for the implementation of an efficient career management model for social workers from the republic; use of tools for career building and development of criteria’s for career’s evaluation in the social work; implementation of efficient measures for career management in the social work’s field; application of methodology for the determination of an efficient career management in social work.
Implementation of scientific results. Measures and recommendations suggested in the thesis were approved by the Ministry of Labour, Social Work and Family, General Direction of Social Work from the city of Chisinau and regional Section of Social Work and Family Protection from the district of Orhei.
