Structure of the thesis: introduction, 3 chapters, conclusions, bibliography of 246 references, annexes, 138 pages of the base text, 15 tables, 6 diagrams. The obtained results are published in 16 scientific papers.
Field of research: ethnology, ethnic psychology, ethnic sociology, social psychology, cultural and historical anthropology.
Aim and objects: to define special characteristics of the process of formation of the ethnic identity and ethnic conceptualizations among the students of schools of the city of Chisinau with Russian as the teaching language, including schools with classes studying Ukrainian language. For this scope a theoretic-methodological analyses of the phenomenon of ethnic identity is carried out, as well as an empirical research of the peculiarities of the formation of ethnic identity and ethnic conceptualizations in the groups of Ukrainian and Russian school students.
Scientific novelty: realization in Moldova of empirical research of the formation of ethnic identity among children of the age under 13 in the period of transformation of the social structure; approbation and use in Moldova of a series of methods of study of the formation of ethnic identity and ethnic representations.
Scientific solved problem consist in the studying of the process of formation of ethnic identity at school students in Chisinau at the contemporary period.
Theoretical and applicative value: characteristic of the stages of formation of ethnic identity in
dependence on the age and ethnic group; dependence of the process of ethnic identification on the
cognitive stage of development and of the aggregate of the social factors; interdisciplinary approach in the
study of ethnic identity; possibilities of application of the obtained results in: the programs organized to
realize educational projects in different ethnic groups in the modern conditions, of some special courses
on given topics at schools and high education institutions with the aim to raise tolerant interethnic
relations in the civil type of society.
