Summary

Structure of the doctoral thesis: Introduction, three chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 527 titles, 2 appendices, 146 basic text pages. The results of this thesis have been presented in 10 articles published in collections and speciality magazines from the Republic of Moldova and the Romania. The total volume of publications on the given topic is about 13.13 sheets of copyright.

The field of study: The complex, multiaspectual analysis of the phenomenon of the complex and controversial process of genesis, of the formation and evolution of the Romanian school system in the Middle Ages, the history of the national education system in this large region of Romania.

The purpose and objectives of the thesis: The scientific investigation of the problem addressed in all its complexity, of the righteous process of the Romanian education in Transylvania in the context of medieval history is required during this contemporary transformation phase and integration into European culture, into the multicultural education as a whole. The main purpose is to analyse the evolutionary process of the advancement of the Romanian education throughout the XIVth – XVIIIth centuries; the basic objectives focus on studying and raising awareness of the scale of this problem, on determining the priority role of education in promoting authentic values of society, on highlighting the historical premises of Romanian education in general and its genesis within the territorial boundaries of medieval Transylvania.

The scientific novelty and originality: The scientific novelty and the innovative nature of the proposed doctoral study lies in the realization of the opportunity to build an honest picture of the major social phenomena and cultural processes in the context of genesis, formation and evolution of Romanian education within the historical borders of Transylvania throughout the XIVth – XVIIIth centuries.

The important scientific problem solved in the respective field: Conceptual approach to the historical evolution of education in Romania as a whole and the Romanian school in Transylvania, in particular, allow this historical phenomenon to be analyzed in the complex, from general to particular. Due to the complexity and diversity of subject-scientific the issue addressed has several aspects, many sides of expression which are components of the multidimensional process she represents it for the first time is reached in a historical context plan problematic and in the integrator context, the consolidation and development of this process in space and time, and actuality and importance requires an interdisciplinary scientific approach, complex and profound.

The theoretical significance: The methodology used in this thesis shows the interdisciplinary character / nature of the research and squares with the modern tendencies of development of the historical science. The epistemic and pragmatic significance of this carried out doctoral study come from the results, the conclusions and recommendations obtained and which can be used for the improvement of education.

The applied value of the work: The results of the research and the opportunity of investigating the addressed problem in this doctoral thesis is determined firstly by its cognitive potential. As in the context of the chronological limits of the ground investigation, and especially nowadays, the phenomenon of education acquires new dimensions in line with the new requirements of the social life.

The implementation of the scientific results: The results obtained are used in the scientific and pedagogical activity as departments, units, themes and materials in monographs, textbooks, teaching materials in the history of culture, pedagogy and education on the whole.
