Domain of research: rheumatology.

Aim of study: studying the types of anaemia in systemic lupus erythematosus, associated with and disease activity, index of organic disturbances and their impact on quality of life. Study objectives: particularities of clinical features, estimation of the disease activity by SLAM and determination of the diagnostic importance of the investigations parameters in patients with anaemia in SLE, estimation of feritin and erythropoietin diagnostic importance for anaemias evaluation in patients from our study, detection of the whole spectrum of different forms of anaemia and ther overlap with desease activity and variability of organic lesions, quality of life scoring in patients with anaemia.

The methodology of scientific research: the research methods used in the study: survey, clinical examination of patients, laboratory investigations, special investigations (level evaluation of feritine, eritropoietin, Fe seric), statistical methods.

The scientific novelty and originality: there was performed a analytic integral evaluation of the peculiarities of a whole clinical and laboratory features in patients with lupus associated with anemia. An initiative was applying of new a specific instrument - SLAM. There will be evaluated spectrum using classic indicators of anemia - Hb, Ht, ESR and modern tests - erythropoietin.

Theoretical value: The results of the research have proved utility and informational value of the modern methods of diagnostic evaluation of anaemia in SLE patients from Republic of Moldova. The important scientific problem solved in the thesis. Were identified types of anemia in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus. It was elucidated the role of erythropoietin in the pathogenesis of anemia of chronic disease.

The theoretical and practical importance: There was elaborated a complex assessment model for patients’ evaluation with hemathological dereglations, through the clinical course manifestations of the anaemia in SLE, evaluation tools, haemathological tests, questionnaires for quality of life assessment.

Practical implementation: The results of the study have been implemented in educational process at the Internal Medicine Nr. 3. Department of the State Medical and Pharmaceutical University “Nicolae Testemiţanu”, and in practical work of the 4th Department of the Institute of Cardiology.
