Summary

"Calculation of monolithic buildings wall strength to seismic actions." Dissertation for the degree of Habilitated Doctor of Technical Sciences. The thesis consists of an introduction, five chapters, conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 139 titles, has 230 pages of the printed text, contains 81 figures, 9 tables. The main results of the scientific investigation are published in 25 scientific papers and one monograph. Keywords: monolith building construction, earthquake resistant construction, vibrator, seismic impact, vibration-dynamic tests of buildings, structures damage levels, dynamic characteristics, analytical method, system of concrete walls reinforcement. Specialty: 211.02. Building materials, elements and structures. Objective. Development of an analytical method for monolithic buildings’ walls strength calculation in destruction in oblique sections as a result of the seismic action. Tasks. Improvement of the calculation method of the monolithic buildings walls in oblique sections, in conditions of a dynamic impact. Scientific novelty and originality. For the first time was developed an analytical method for calculating monolithic buildings walls in oblique sections, taking into account the simultaneous action in the calculated oblique section of bending moments, transverse and normal forces, as well as the impact of technological peculiarities of monolithic buildings construction, such as separate concreting of walls and the structure of technological seams. 10 Scientific problem. The main task is to improve the method of calculation of monolithic buildings walls in oblique sections under cyclic seismic exposure. New scientific direction. The results of the completed scientific research fundamentally contributed to the development of a new scientific direction in the area of seismic resistant design of building construction by calculation of monolithic walls resistance in oblique sections actions. The developed analytical method of calculation, as well as the dynamic model, based on the classic generalized calculated wall model, which reproduces fairly accurately its physical original, will allow increasing the safety of buildings and constructions with regards to seismic influence. Theoretical value. Was proved that the developed method of calculation of monolithic buildings provides more reliable results than existing methods. Practical importance. Was obtained the calculated critical crack trajectory model for monolithic buildings, taking into account seismic influence. Implementation of scientific results. The developed method is used in Moldovan construction norms "Construction of monolithic buildings in seismic areas of the Moldavian SSR", Republican building codes (PCH 13-87, Part -I), p. 5.2.10 and ”Calculation, design and creation of reinforced concrete and pre-compressed concrete”.
