Summary

Thesis structure: introduction, 3 chapters each with 5 subchapters, general conclusions and recommendations, bibliography of 146 sources, 131 pages of basic text, the declaration of assuming the responsibility, the author’s CV.

Thesis results were reflected in 9 scientific papers.

Field of study: Romanian literature

The aim of the thesis consists in studying thematic, typological and structural relations between Eminescu’s publicistics and poetry, revealed by a common type of rhetorical discourse, by a heterogeneous stylistic register and by a specific target (the villains of the political scene, of the "community comedy", individuals with bad qualities, newcomers, social parasites, representatives of upper class, demagogues, etc.).

Objectives of the research are the following:

The scientific novelty and originality of the work resides in systematical analysis for the first time, in an extensive and documented way (with reference to lesser-known texts published in scholarly editions with a reduced circulation) of the eminescian social and patriotic poetry, which reflected issues of all kinds (economic, legal, cultural, political, philosophical). Our innovation consists in a parallel research of motifs, tropes, rhetorical figures presenting them as an organic unity.

The scientific problem that was solved comprises the demonstration of the unity of Eminescu's creation by relating the literary creation itself and publishing to the typological, stylistical and structural relationships, which has contributed to reveal the two sides of his creation: reflexive and discursive, in order to restructure the publishing from the point of view of the thematical and structural parallel with poetry.

Theoretical significance of thesis: In this study is amply analyzed, based on documentation the common themes and motifs which Eminescu approaches in his entire creation. The main objective is to give proof of the unity of the Eminescu’s creation.

Practical value of thesis: The thesis serves as a basis for the preparation of curriculum content for higher education in the Humanities (Language and Literature, Philology, Communication) which is imperative in terms of a crisis of literary reception, for building the hierarchy of values and multidimensional phenomenon of reading.

Implementation of research results: The thesis results were implemented in the papers presented at the World Congress of Eminescologists (two editions, 2013 and 2014) and at the national symposium with international participation entitled The Modern Filology: results and perspectives in European context (8th Edition, 2014). Eminescu’s concepts about parliamentarianism and European idea have been presented at the meetings with the parliamentarians from many countries.
