Field of the study – early diagnostic management of skin tumors within Private Medical Centre.
Aim of the study: Scientific argumentation of organization model in early diagnosis of skin tumors in conditions of Private Medical Centre.
Objectives of the study: 1. Study of cohort of patients with skin tumors which addressed to Private Medical Centre ”Galaxia” during years 2002-2010. 2. Medico-social characteristics of patients with skin tumors. 3. Elaboration of organization model of early diagnostic and elaboration of diagnostic management of skin tumors within Private Medical Centre. 4. Study of particularities of collaboration between PMC and MSPI regarding services of diagnostic and treatment of skin tumors.
Scientific innovation and originality. For the first time in the Republic of Moldova a complex scientific study regarding early diagnosis of skin tumors in condition of Private Medical Centre was performed: epidemiological features were studied, clinical-diagnostic particularities of skin tumors were described; the diagnostic was evaluated by computerized dermatoscopy; the organization model of early diagnostic of skin tumors within Medical Private Centre was elaborated; new algorithms of skin tumor diagnosis were implemented; collaboration aspects between Private Medical Centre and Sanitary Public Medical Institution in the field of onco-dermatology were studied. Scientific problem solved: The model, regarding managerial system in the early diagnosis of skin tumors in condition of Private Medical Centre.
Theoretical significance. This study multilaterally analyzed the particularities of early diagnosis of skin tumors within Private Medical Centre, estimating the efficacy of non-invasive methods in the diagnosis of skin tumors. Achieved results reflect new knowledge regarding managerial system in the early diagnosis of skin tumors in condition of Private Medical Centre, which will improve the anti-tumor therapy and accordingly the health condition of population such lowering the cost for medical care of patients suffering from these affections by decreasing number of severe cases, extending diagnostic and treatment measures.
Applicative value of the thesis. Achieved results offer to onco-dermatologist clinician exact data that allow: to improve the anti-tumoral therapy and respectively the population health, perspectives of continuously development of diagnosis, treatment and prophylaxis of cutaneous cancers; to test new diagnostic methods on the basis of experimental model of diagnostic monitoring by computerized dermatoscopy; to lower the cost needed to care of patients which suffer of these diseases by reducing number of cases diagnosed in late severe stages, extension of diagnostic and treatment measures; to improve life conditions of patients suffering from skin cancer, by a performance management of these affections; to reduce population anxiety for cutaneous cancer by correct information regarding disease and the possibility of early diagnostic by dermatoscopy. Results of thesis will contribute to enhance efficacy in early diagnostic of cutaneous tumors and optimization of diagnostic process, and ultimately increased treatment efficacy of skin tumors and increased chances and rate of patient healing, elaboration of normative acts regarding necessary interventions to improve the quality of medical-social assistance of persons with skin tumors.
Implementations of scientific results. On the basis of this study results, were elaborated
methodical recommendations for these patients – “Measures for preventing skin tumors”; results of this
study were introduced in the university and post-university curricula at the chair of Public Health and
Management “Nicolae Testimiţanu” and at the Faculty of continuous medical training of State University
of Medicine and Pharmacy “Nicolae Testimiţanu”, methodical recommendations were included as
teaching course at the Chair of Hematology, Oncology and Campaign Medicine of SMFU “Nicolae
Testimiţanu”; the practical-scientific council of Private Medical Centre “Galaxia” implemented
methodical recommendations for dermatologists and oncologists; practical recommendations
“Management of early diagnostic of skin tumors” were proposed to specialized medical council IOM as a
optimization guide of diagnostic services in the Republic of Moldova.
