Summary

Structure of thesis: Introduction, 4 Chapters, General conclusions and recommendations, 239 bibliographical sources, 117 pages of basis text, 67 tables, 6 figures and in annexes 2 tables. The results of the researches are published in 22 scientific works.

Study field: 421.03 – technology of breeding of animals and obtaining of animal products.

Aim of work: consists in the development of technology and scientific substantiation of growing and reproduction of queen-bees based on the use of food additives, improving winter hardiness and productivity of bee colonies.

Objectives of work: assessment of capacities of bee families for the queens rearing; study of the influence of the feed additives on wintering, breeding and productivity of bee families; determination of morpho-productive indices of the Carpathian bees, creation of the breeding groups from maternal and paternal families for the reproduction of queen bees, determining the influence of feed additives at breeding of queen bees; elaboration of recommendations on queen- bees breeding.

Scientific novelty and originality: consists in identifying of the methods for solving a problem on assessment of capacities of bee families for the queens rearing. There were developed and scientifically substantiated new technological processes, method of queens rearing (Short term Patent 567 Z, MD) and processes for breeding and feeding of bees (Short term Patent 538 Z, MD; 848 Z, MD and 878 Z, MD), there were set optimal doses for the use of feed additives that ensure increasing of productivity of bee families, improving the quality of queen cells and queens.

Solved scientific problem: it is to develop the technology of queens growing based on the use of food additives and practical recommendations in order to increase the maintenance and the productivity of bee colonies.

Theoretic significance of work consists of establishment of influence of feed additives at winter hardiness, productivity of bee families, quality of queen-bees cells and queen bees.

Applicative value of work consists in breeding groups for breeding and reproduction of breeding queen bees. Implementation of scientifically results: Scientifically results were implemented on queen-breeding center and apiaries and during the learning process at the State Agrarian University of Moldova.
