The carried out research is dedicated to the theoretical and practical problem of learners’ speaking skills development by means of active and interactive methods of teaching.
In the thesis the theoretical and methodical premises of selection of active/interactive English teaching strategies in the lyceums are justified:
As a result of research, the experimental model of the skill formation and estimation by means of active and interactive methods of teaching has been elaborated.
The results of qualitative and quantitative analysis of experimental dat a have proved the
efficiency of the elaborated model.
